Valerie J. Crown, Esq.

Valerie dedicates her law practice to protecting the rights of individuals with serious injuries and disabilities.  For the past 27 years, she has devoted her career to helping victims of abuse and neglect receive the compensation and benefits they deserve—whether from negligence, dental/medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, social security disability, or workers’ compensation. Her settlements include: $850,000.00 for permanent head injures arising from a car accident after three weeks of trial in Bronx County; $500,000.00 settlement during the trial of a medical malpractice case in New York County where a surgeon placed a pedicle screw into the spinal canal instead of the body of the vertebrae causing spinal injuries; $350,000.00 for a permanent nerve injury sustained during a hysterectomy which settled during trial in Orange County; $235,000.00 settlement from a wrongful death action on behalf of a deceased woman, who fell at a nursing home. 

Her verdicts include: $350,000.00 for a nerve injury from a dental implant procedure (the highest dental malpractice verdict in Rockland County); $125,000.00 for a 16 year-old camper who fractured his leg during a roller skating program when another camper tripped him; and $75,000.00 for one fractured rib as a result of a car accident. 

Valerie J. Crown is admitted to practice before all of the State Courts of the State of New York, the Federal District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts, and the United States Supreme Court.  She is a past president of the Rockland County Women’s Bar Association, a past Board member of the New York State Women’s Bar Association; the Founder and Past Director of the Rockland County Pro Bono Clinic; a member of the New York State Bar Association; a member of the Rockland County Bar Association (committee chairperson of the Negligence/Insurance Committee); a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association; and a member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers. 

Valerie obtained her B.A. from Barnard College of Columbia University, magna cum laude, and her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law.  She has devoted her career to helping victims of abuse and neglect receive the compensation and benefits they deserve.
